Main Purpose

We are looking for a Motor Vehicle Teacher to join our team at our Chester Campus.

The successful candidate will have relevant industry experience and an ability to deliver to students from a wide range of age groups and with a range of skills levels, from schools programmes through to apprentices as well as delivering training to employees from industry.

The ideal candidate will have a Teaching qualification (although training can be given) and previous experience in teaching IMI Entry Level – Level 3 is desirable.

Each employee is required to undergo a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check and must commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Main Purpose

We are now seeking an outstanding and exceptional teacher in General Applied Science (BTEC). This is a full time position however applications for part time (0.5 FTE) will be considered.

You will contribute to the thriving subject area within the Science Department, and applications would be welcomed from both experienced and newly qualified teachers.

The successful candidate will be currently teaching or have recent experience of teaching BTEC Applied Science with an emphasis on Physics and Maths. Willingness to offer GCSE Science and/or another science subject would be beneficial.  An excellent understanding of Physics, good practical skills and the ability to use Information Technology to support teaching and learning will be an advantage.

You will be a good team player with excellent communication skills, flexible approach and organised work patterns. The Science department is well resourced and all teachers follow a unified scheme of work.

A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning and a willingness to support extra-curricular activities, trips and visits would be an advantage.

Nearly all full-time and some part-time members of the teaching staff are also personal tutors. Tutors monitor progress and offer support and guidance to some twenty students. The ability to contribute to the enrichment programme would also be welcome.
