Guests in attendance were in for a treat at the prestigious ‘The Chester Grosvenor’ Hotel – Not only were they surrounded by the luxurious 5 star furnishings of the renowned establishment, but given the opportunity to ‘Round the Table Network’ AND enjoy listening to Richard Grove, General Manager of The Grosvenor be our ‘Person Behind The Business’ – wow!
Greeted warmly by delicious home baked pastries and hot beverages, courtesy of the glamorous venue, guests had the opportunity to bask at the fantastic establishment all whilst engaging and networking with new and old business contacts! Broadening their professional circle and promoting awareness of their business with likeminded business people of their local region.
Armed with fresh pastries and hot beverages, all in attendance made their way into a separate room filled with round tables to embark on some ‘Round The Table Networking’ fun! Round the Table Networking provides delegates with a fantastic opportunity to meet new and existing contacts, secure strong business relations and friendships, promote their business to a large audience all whilst in a friendly and relaxed environment. As well as networking, delegates can find out about everyone on their table and swap contact details, before moving to another and getting to know a whole host of other people.
Following swiftly on Jenny Davidson, Membership Support Officer at the Chamber introduced Richard Grove to the room. Adding a twist to proceedings, all the questions to be asked of Richard were folded up in a Champagne bucket and random guests were asked to read them out loud for him to answer.
Richard captivated the audience with his fascinating account of life as the General Manager of the Chester Grosvenor, telling the room of what is required of him in a typical day (although there never is a ‘typical’ day! ) Richard addressed the room with an honest and personal approach, his natural humour shone through and the audience’s response was a testament to this. He also informed the crowd of famous celebrities who have graced the venue and what life in the hospitality industry is like which was much to the interest of the room.
Speaking after the event Richard said “Being ‘Person Behind The Business’ for the Chamber was a fantastic opportunity to showcase myself and The Grosvenor to a lareg audience. I found all guests attending were so inquisitive about what I had to say and I felt at ease and welcomed by all. I hope everyone who attended was able to take something away from what I said and see The Grosvenor in a new light”
The Chamber would like to thank everyone in attendance and to the prestigious venue for their excellent hospitality and professionalism. We would love to see you at our next Networking Lunch on the 27th October which is to be held at New Blossoms Hotel, Chester.
