Main Purpose

The College is looking for a highly organised, numerate person to join its finance team. The individual must be AAT qualified to level 3 or above, possess excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel spread sheets, customer focused, and enjoy problem solving. The individual must be able to supervise staff and prioritise their work load along with their teams in a high volume environment.

The employee will be required to report on aged debtors and any debts referred to the college’s solicitors to pursue. The role involves liaising with students and being able to make judgements based on their circumstances and make appropriate decisions with regards to payment plans or the collection of debt. The individual will also be expected to review the college’s fees policy regularly and make suggestions of possible changes.

Ensuring an effective and efficient purchasing system which supports the work of the College, protects its financial health, and supports the delivery of its aim and objectives, liaising and negotiating with and responding to suppliers for the benefit of the College.

Provide accurate information for management and statutory accounts.

This role requires excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with both internal and external customers and the ability to see queries from other people’s perspectives and resolve issues as quickly as possible.

You will be based predominantly at the Ellesmere Port Campus however you may be required to work at other sites.

Main Purpose

The College is looking for a highly organised, numerate person to join its finance team to provide maternity cover until April 2018 . The individual must be AAT qualified to level 2 or above, possess excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel spreadsheets, customer focused, and enjoy problems solving.  You will need to be familiar and competent in Microsoft Office packages and able to use specialist software. 

You will be based predominantly at the Ellesmere Port Campus however you may be required to work at other sites.

Main Purpose

We are now seeking an outstanding and exceptional teacher in General Applied Science (BTEC). This is a full time position however applications for part time (0.5 FTE) will be considered.

You will contribute to the thriving subject area within the Science Department, and applications would be welcomed from both experienced and newly qualified teachers.

The successful candidate will be currently teaching or have recent experience of teaching BTEC Applied Science with an emphasis on Physics and Maths. Willingness to offer GCSE Science and/or another science subject would be beneficial.  An excellent understanding of Physics, good practical skills and the ability to use Information Technology to support teaching and learning will be an advantage.

You will be a good team player with excellent communication skills, flexible approach and organised work patterns. The Science department is well resourced and all teachers follow a unified scheme of work.

A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning and a willingness to support extra-curricular activities, trips and visits would be an advantage.

Nearly all full-time and some part-time members of the teaching staff are also personal tutors. Tutors monitor progress and offer support and guidance to some twenty students. The ability to contribute to the enrichment programme would also be welcome.
