 Every year we recognise Chamber members that have excelled over the last 12 months at our Annual Ball’s Chamber Recognition Awards Ceremony.

This is the premier award for businesses in West Cheshire & North Wales and is open to companies of any size, working in any commercial or industrial sector.

This award is open to businesses that have been trading for less than 2 years and seeks to recognise the determination and hard work of entrepreneurs across West Cheshire & North Wales.

Young Person/Apprentice of the Year Award – Sponsored by Armadillo Events and Umbrella Marketing Team

This award is to highlight the exceptional contribution of a young person or an apprentice to the success and growth of a business based in West Cheshire and North Wales.

This award is also open to young entrepreneurs who have established a level of business success that belies their age.

The nominated person should demonstrate:

  • They have developed and grown their skill set.
  • Made a significant contribution to the business.
  • Enthusiasm, dedication and a positive attitude.

Export & International Trade Award – Sponsored by Crest Medical

This award recognises the strength of exporters in West Cheshire & North Wales. Entrants for this award must stand out from the crowd on the international stage and demonstrate that they have generated significant and/or sustained increases in their export activity.

The company must demonstrate:

  • The level of exports when compared to the size and sector of the organisation
  • The barriers that have been overcome e.g. languages
  • The degree to which products/services are new and markets non-traditional
  • Innovative approaches to establishing and entering new markets

This award is open to businesses of all sizes and recognises those that have experienced exceptional growth in sales, profit, market share, jobs or international trade. Judges will be looking for an organisation that can demonstrate the highest levels of growth with a strong plan for sustainable financial performance.

This award recognises members, or one of their employees, who have made a difference to the social well-being their local community. This could be through volunteer and charity work or by any means where the business or employee has gone above and beyond to support their community.

The company or individual must demonstrate;

  • The aims of the project or initiative that they have been involved in
  • Rationale/reasons for doing it
  • Activities undertaken
  • The impact that you or your company’s activities has had on your local community.

This award is not open for nominations but will recognise one of our Young Chamber Members and celebrate the achievements of their students throughout the previous year.

Members Choice Award

This award is chosen by Chamber members themselves. Members can vote for the person that has helped or supported them the most throughout the year. Please email Matt Hodgson with the name of the person you are nominating and a brief reason why.

There is a strict deadline of Midnight on Friday 14th September. Any nominations received after this will not be considered.

Once the deadline has passed all nominations will be reviewed by the Chamber Member Focus Group with a shortlist announced on Monday 24th September. The winners will be announced at our Annual Ball and Awards Ceremony which takes place on 16th November 2018 at Chester Racecourse.
