Why Every man needs a few pairs of good quality shoes

It’s important to pay attention to your footwear because this could ultimately make or break your look. As with suits, it’s all about quality not quantity. A few pairs of good quality shoes are a much better investment than a dozen cheap pairs.
Material – Always opt for leather and check the stitching is neat and tidy. Shoes with laces are better for formal/corporate events – slip on’s and boots are for less formal/casual wear.
Sizing – Try them on! If they fit you the moment you try them on, they are the correct size. There’s no such thing as ‘breaking them in’. Try them on with the kind of socks you will be wearing with these shoes as too heavy/too thin socks will distort the fit.
Look after them! – If well cared for, your shoes will last a very long time, even years. Clean and polish them regularly. Invest in a shoe tree, this allows your shoes to breathe and dry after use which helps retain their shape.
Colour – Black is always the first choice – it matches any suit colour and is expected for formal or corporate events. Brown/Tan pairs well with navy, blue or light grey suits and ideal for general office wear or for a more casual look.
