Groundwork North Wales (incorporating Refurbs and Wild Ground) works alongside local communities, public bodies, private companies and other voluntary sector organisations to support communities in need across North Wales. We help people and organisations make changes in order to create better neighbourhoods, build skills and job prospects and to live and work in a greener way. Groundwork North Wales has its head office in Tanyfron, Wrexham and across the various project’s employees over 60 members of staff.

Groundwork North Wales (incorporating Refurbs and Wildground) Recognised as an Investor in People. Groundwork North Wales has been an accredited Investors in People organisation since 1997. Reaccreditation happens every three years and this year we extended to accreditation to incorporate Refurbs and Wild Ground.

Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essentials skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Working with clients across the globe, Investors in People enables organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale.

Investors in People Framework is organised around nine key indicators of high performance each with three underpinning themes. To achieve the Standard accreditation, organisations are assessed against these indicators and 27 themes. Staff across the organisation where asked to complete online assessments, take part in one to one and group discussions, meetings and observations with our Investors in People assessor. The Standard will be used to facilitate on-going development of people management practices.

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said “We’d like to congratulate Groundwork North Wales (incorporating Refurbs and Wild Ground), Investors in People accreditation is the sign of a great employer, and an organisation committed to achieving success by realising the potential of their people.
