It is with great excitement that The Countess Charity can announce that once again The Chester Grosvenor will host the Ladies Laughter Lunch in 2019. The date for the fantastic event is March 2nd 2019 and will this year be supported by Allington Hughes Law. Lucy Meek – Marketing Manager for Allington Hughes is delighted to be supporting the event;

“We are delighted to be supporting The Countess Charity and this wonderful event, The Ladies Laughter Lunch.

The improvement and enhancement of patient care by the Countess Charity has a huge impact on the lives of those in Chester and the surrounding areas.

We hope the event raises much funds for this wonderful cause which will have a tremendously positive influence on patients and also their friends and families.”

Hanna Clarke Corporate and Events Fundraising Manager at the Countess is looking forward to another fun filled event

‘I want to say a huge Thank You to the sponsors Allington Hughes Law for supporting The Countess Charity in 2019 and this great event. This is one of my favourite events, and we are looking forward to raising lots of fund for the Memory Lane Project.’

This year’s events fund will go towards supporting the Memory Lane Project on wards 50 and 51 at The Countess of Chester Hospital. This project has had fantastic support from local businesses and the community since its launch, with work completed on the corridor and patient day lounge prior to Christmas.

Thanks to The Chester Grosvenor guests will be welcomed with a glass of Taittinger and enjoy a superb two course lunch and coffee. The entertainment this year will be form the brilliant Allyson Smith. Allyson Smith is a self-confessed “over-sharer”, with any Allyson Smith show inevitably serving up a potent observational cocktail of wit, bite and shame. “Simply one of the funniest comedians I’ve ever worked with,” praised Jason Manford, following a string of support dates

We will also be welcoming our own resident TV paediatrician Dr Ravi Jayaram to host the charity auction, with prize donations coming in from establishments across Chester. If you are interested in donating a raffle or auction prize do not hesitate to get in touch.

The event takes place on March 2nd 2019 with arrival from 12noon. Tickets are available from the Fundraising office at the Countess of Chester priced at £35pp or you can contact Hanna on 01244 366 397 /
